DAY 1 – KATHMANDU ARRIVAL
Arrive Kathmandu Tribhuwan International Airport. Meet and transfer to the pre-booked hotel.
DAY 2 – KATHMANDU
After breakfast, meet the guide at the hotel lobby and go for half day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu City and Swoyambhunath.
KATHMANDU CITY: Kathmandu city, the most popular place in the kingdom was known as Kantipur in earlier times. Shrines temples, palaces, palace square known as Durbar Square and sculpture have been on display since time immortal. One can see the Living Goddess "KUMARI" (Abode of the virgin Goddess) appear in the person on the balcony of her temple to greet her devotees on certain ceremonial occasion. This in itself presents a sight, which to a tourist appear to be from on outer world.
SWOYAMBHUNATH: Located 4 km northwest of Kathmandu on top of a hill is the Buddhist Sanctuary said to be nearly 2000 years old. The hill itself is a pleasant place overlooking the entire valley of Kathmandu. The all seeing eyes of Lord Buddha painted in prominent blue atop the dome are visible from long distances from around the Kathmandu City.
You will be free for the rest of the day.
DAY 3 – KATHMANDU – POKHARA
After early morning breakfast, our Tour Officer will take you to the bus station for your departure to Pokhara. Pokhara is around 200 km away from Kathmandu and takes about 6 to 7 hours by bus.
Pokhara is the second most visited city of Nepal by tourist. This is not only because Pokhara is the starting point of most trekking trails but because it is a beautiful lakeside city. You will be received by our guide, who will assist you to check-in at your pre-arranged hotel.
DAY 4 – POKHARA SIGHTSEEING
After breakfast, you will again leave with the same guide for half day sightseeing tour of Davis fall, Gupteswar Mahadev Cave, Tibetan Refugees Camp, Bendibashini Temple and Seti Gorge.
DAY 5- POKHARA
If weather permits, you will be able to see the whole Annapurna Range, Dhaulagiri and Fishtail Mountain. Then you will come back for breakfast at your hotel and you will be free for the rest of day and enjoy the day with any of these optional activities - paragliding / boating / ultra air flight / hike to Peace Pagoda.
DAY 6 – POKHARA - KATHMANDU
After breakfast, you will be dropped at the bus station for your transfer back to Kathmandu. It will take around 6-7 hours to reach Kathmandu.
Once you reach Kathmandu, you will be picked up by our tour guide from the bus station and you will check-in your previous hotel in Kathmandu
DAY 7 – KATHMANDU
After breakfast, you will visit Patan Durbar Square.
PATAN: 5 Km south of Kathmandu city and across the Bagmati River situates the city of Patan,
the home of the fine arts full of Buddhist monuments ,temples and building adorned with elaborate wood carvings and sculptures. It is in this town that world famous brass, bronze and copperware is done by hand. The highlight of the tour are Shikara style Krishna Temple, Hirayanya Varna Mahavihar, the golden roofed Buddhist monastery and Mahaboudha temple, the temple of thousand images of Buddha. Also visit to Industrial district and Tibetan Handicraft center where one can see a live demonstration of carpet weaving by hand.
In the evening, the tour officer will meet you at the hotel and you will go for a traditional Nepalese dinner with Nepali Cultural program
DAY 8 – KATHMANDU- DEPARTURE
Free until final departure transfer to Kathmandu Tribhuwan International Airport for onward flight. (Airport reporting time 3 hours before the flight)
** Please note that most of the heritage sites have been damaged due to the devastating earthquake of 2015 and are under restoration process.
