It is very easy to be spellbound by the magic of Cochin and it is the beauty and comparatively good infrastructure that makes it the ideal gateway to the state. The city offers visitors a peek into palaces, museums, old churches, cool backwaters; palm fringed lagoons, beaches and the practicality of a modern metro city.
Activities
Day 01: Arrive Cochin on arrival meet & greet with our Company representative afterwards transfer to your pre-booked hotel, relax overnight stay at Cochin.
Day 02: Cochin
After breakfast Full day city tour of Cochin visiting - ‘The Jewish Synagogue’ at the heart of what is locally called the Jew Town, ‘The Dutch Palace, Spice market at the narrow streets, The St. Francis Church’, the oldest European Church in India, ‘The Santa Cruz Basilica’ originally built in 1557 by the Portuguese and the cochin boast “Chinese fishing nets”. At 5.30pm visit to the famous dance drama of Kerala, the “Kathakali”. This dance can be characterized by grotesque gesticulations, amazing costumes and very extensive make-up. The stories are mostly taken from the epics Mahabharatha and Ramayana. Later return to hotel.

Day 03: Cochin – Periyar (By surface 200 kms / 4 hours drive)
After breakfast drive to Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Set high in the ranges of the Western Ghats, in God’s Own Country, Kerala, is the Periyar National Park and Tiger Reserve. Periyar wildlife sanctuary has a picturesque lake at the heart of the sanctuary. Formed with the building of a dam in 1895, this reservoir meanders around the contours of the wooded hills, providing a permanent source of water for the local wildlife. Though its a Tiger Reserve, tourists come here to view the Indian elephants in the act of ablution and playfulness by the Periyar lake.

Day 04: Periyar
To experience the incredible sanctuary, early morning you will be picked up for a boat ride on the Periyar Lake. Most of the tourist activities are focused around the Lake. There are roughly 700 elephants roaming in the forest, and they are generally seen on the banks of the Periyar Lake. Later, in the evening the guide will pick you up from the hotel for a guided tour to the nearby spice plantation. Cinnamom and ginger, pepper and cardamom, and various other spices grown on the Periyar hill made it nature’s taste factory in the 14th century, as Cochin became nature’s harbor, the shipping port for a spice hungry world. Later, the area came under the kingdom of Travancore, and many of its plantations, orchards and hunting lodges date from that time. The British Raj also left its mark on the Cardamom hills.

Day 05: Periyar – Kumarakom (By surface 200 kms / 4 hours drive)
After breakfast drive to Kumarakom, Upon arrival check-in to your pre-booked hotel
Kumarakom is located along the shores of Vembanad Lake, in the heart of the back waters. This beautiful paradise stocked with mangrove forests, beryl green paddy fields and coconut groves comprises with water ways and canals adorned with while lilies. Kumarakom charms the tourist from all over the world. It offers a wide variety of flora, beautiful sightseeing, boating and fishing experiences. It has top-notch resorts and bird sanctuary nearby. Ayurvedic therapies here is rated the best in India.

Day 06: Kumarakom
Relax & rejuvenate at this lovely backwater destination. There are many small activities that you can do around in Kumarakom on your own. You can also visit to Kottayam town where in situated is the famous Churches of Valiyapalli & Cheriyapalli. In a nearby proximity if interested you can also visit Vaikom Shiva temple.

Day 07: Today you are transfer to Cochin airport for your onward journey.

PAYMENT SCHEDULE, CANCELLATIONS, REFUNDS AND OUR RESPONSIBLITIES.
Payment for internal flights is generally due within 14 days of booking. Should you need to cancel at any time, your deposit will be non-refundable. Although we will try to refund your internal airfare less any penalties levied by the airline.
In the case of GIT’s
Final Payment:
1st instalment is due 90 days prior to departure. If you need to cancel between 60 and 90 days prior to departure, we will refund 25% of your trip cost, as well as your internal airfare less any penalties levied by the airline.
2nd and final instalment is due within 45 days prior to departure. If you need to cancel within 45 days of departure we will not be able to issue you a refund.
In the case of FIT’s
Full and final payment is due within 45 – 30 days prior to departure. If you need to cancel within 30 days of departure we will not be able to issue you a refund. Your internal airfare will be refunded less any penalties levied by the airline.
